Ballard Power Systems needed to control temperature and humidity precisely to protect fuel cell stacks in their transit bus power system. Niagara Thermal Products designed specialized heat exchangers that humidified the hydrogen and met Ballard's uniquel performance requirements.


Fuel Cell Components

Niagara Thermal designs and manufactures heat transfer fin for fuel cell stacks. Fin are designed to provide a rigid passage between cells between cells, ensuring optimum performance. The fin may be made of any formable alloy and are held to very tight tolerances and quality requirements.

Niagara Thermal also designs and manufactures specialized heat exchangers used in the fuel cell system to cool or heat the various process streams.
